Built Different:
Advisory & Consultancy
I support studio owners and leadership teams building children's media and products at the moments that shape what comes next. When an idea has the potential to become something bigger, a decision could change its direction, or the ambition has outgrown the way you've been working.
As an executive on both sides. I've co-founded and helped build Kunda Kids from the ground up, and spent two decades across Unilever, the BBC, Diageo, Cambridge University Press and WPP, seeing how some of the world's biggest brands make decisions, build products and scale ideas.
Built Different is my model for turning potential into progress, focusing on the critical moments that determine what an idea, product, or business can become. Those moments come down to four things: the conversations that create clarity, the decisions that set direction, the way you build, and the choices that determine how you scale.
-
From an initial concept to a world that can extend across animation, publishing, music, products and experiences. I can help you think through what makes an IP distinctive, expandable and capable of building long-term value.
-
What are you making, who is it really for, and why will they choose it? I bring experience across children’s content, early years audiences and direct-to-consumer platforms to help sharpen the relationship between the creative idea, the audience and how they consume it.
-
One of the questions I’ve spent years working through is how culturally specific ideas travel. I can help you think about what should remain uncompromisingly local, what needs to translate, and how an IP can reach new audiences without losing what made it distinctive in the first place.
-
Before Kunda Kids, I spent much of my career inside global businesses including Unilever, Diageo, Cambridge University Press and WPP. I bring that product and brand thinking into children's media, helping teams get clearer on what they are building, why it matters and how to position it.
-
Great IP needs a route to an audience and a route to revenue. I can help you think through distribution, platform strategy, partnerships, licensing, commercial models and where the most credible growth opportunities sit.
-
I’m also building the thing myself. I understand the decisions that look very different when the money, people, reputation and consequences are yours. I work particularly well with founders and leaders navigating growth, changing business models, competing priorities and moments where there is no obviously right answer.
