I trained as a journalist before building a career across publishing, media, education and entrepreneurship. That background shaped my belief that storytelling is more than communication. It can influence what we value, whose perspectives are heard and how we understand the world around us.

I’m the author of 22 children’s picture books and have edited more than 40 titles, from early concept through to publication. My years at Cambridge University Press also gave me a deep grounding in how content, learning and audience come together.

For adults, I write essays and commentary on African storytelling, children’s media, culture, intellectual property, creativity and the business of building ideas. My work has appeared in Book O’Clock, Literacy Today, Africa Outlook Magazine and Impact Magazine, among others.

Whether I’m writing a story for a five-year-old or sharing a point of view on an industry, I write because stories and ideas have influence. They can challenge what we accept, expand what we imagine and, sometimes, change what happens next.
