Louisa Kiwana Olafuyi is a Ugandan-British entrepreneur, producer, author and speaker working at the intersection of children's media, culture and business.
She is the Co-founder and COO of Kunda Kids, an independent, IP-first media company creating globally recognised children's entertainment through animation, music, publishing and educational experiences.
Alongside her husband and co-founder, Oladele Olafuyi, she created the internationally acclaimed preschool brands Kunda and Friends and Thandi's Playtime, with a mission to build world-class stories that help children everywhere feel seen, valued and inspired.
Before founding Kunda Kids, Louisa spent nearly two decades building brands and products for organisations including Unilever, Cambridge University Press, BBC, Diageo and The Future Company (WPP). Working across strategy, marketing, innovation and audience insight gave her a deep understanding of how culture shapes behaviour, and how the world's strongest brands are built through purpose, creativity and commercial thinking.
Today, Louisa’s work extends far beyond children's television. She writes and speaks regularly on intellectual property, children's media, founder leadership and the role culture plays in shaping both people and products.
As a mother of three, including twins and a neurodiverse child, Louisa brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She believes children's media is one of the most influential industries in the world, shaping identity, confidence and curiosity long before children enter a classroom.
Her work has been recognised through programmes including Africa's Business Heroes (Top 20, 2025), the IFC Female Founders Growth Programme, and the Black British Business Awards, and she has spoken at leading international conferences, including the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Moonshot Conference and Women in Research.
Whether producing global children's brands, writing, speaking or investing in the next generation of creative businesses, Louisa is driven by a single belief: the stories we tell today become the culture we inherit tomorrow.
Louisa is available for keynote addresses, conference moderation, fireside chats, executive workshops, leadership retreats, webinars, panels and podcast appearances worldwide.
